Initiator en programmer for Kunstenlab, Deventer.

The accent is based on experiments in the exposition space, or cooperating and reacting on each others work and on the space itself. The artists vary from regional to international, from beginning to renowned and famous in the dutch art scene.

“Pop ups tijdelijk toestaan” (young artists which reflect and flirt with the consumers’society).Participating artists: Maaike Folmer, Martijn Tharner, Saygin Soher and Linda Nieuwstad, 2006.

“Happy ever afterlife” ( Mathijs Stegink and fellow artists show installations, animations, and live animations; also educative school project. Lots of installations require participation), 2006.

“Catch and release”(Maarten Heijkamp and Toine Klaassen; about collecting, archiving, and bringing together photography and installation art. Het work process is part of the exhibition), 2007.

“To grow, grown, overgrown; 3 stages of escapism” (Willem Hilbrink and Rozemarijn Westerink present a new installation, video and performance especially made for Kunstenlab), 2007.

“Alledaags/hedendaags; contemporary art and Ukiyo-E”( exhibition about ancient Japanse prints and contemporary art, curated together with Hans Bosman), 2007.

“Flow” (Anne van As, Jasper van der Graaf, Guido Nieuwendijk and Jet van Oosten; four painters transform the space and react and anticipate on each others work), 2008.

“Habitat” ( Tijs Rooijakkers uses the exhibition space for a work in progress to form new installations and reshape older works), 2008.

“Poseren is ook een kunst”(Johan Kuipers and Annet Boven investigate the artists approach about posing, alter ego’s and imaginary friends in installations, drawings, sound, video, with a special live gig at the opening), 2008.

“Wouldn’t it be nice, shouldn’t it be nice, couldn’t it be nice” (concept: Gilbert van Drunen. At the same time an exhibition and debate at gallery Phoebus, Rotterdam.

“No little room to grow (R.E.M.)” (working period in guest studio and exhibition of the installation from Viorica Cernica, especially made for Kunstenlab during the working period), 2008/2009.

“Into the white”(young artist Jasper van der Burgh uses the exhibition space as his studio to create new sculptures, installations and new combinations, open for public to see the creative process), 2009.

“Mini museum; onder de loep” (group exhibition curatted with Hans Bosman with more than 60 participating artists who made new work on a mini scale, especially made for mini museum of Renee Naeff), 2009.

“Uncollectables; onder de huid” (group exhibition of young Deventer artists as a a contemporary counterweight for the exposition Op de huidabout the collection of the local gouvernment;is contemporary art still collectable?), 2009.

“Dead end hero”(group exhibition in all art disciplines with Ewoud van Rijn, Hidde van Schie, Harma Heikens, Pawel Jankowski, Wytse Sterk, Jan van Nuenen, Hans van der Ham, Paul Klemann, Boudewijn van der Poel and Enkeling about contemporary artists reflecting on the inevitable end in the same manner as medieval dance macabre prints. “Loodzwaar/steengoed” (Aukje Grouwstra presents her plan for a monument for the old ice skatering in Deventer and shows her resluts from a working period at Europees Keramisch Werkcentrum, Den Bosch. Miguel Peres dos Santos shows a new installation.Exhibition together with. Sebiha Demir), 2009.

“Prognosis for the future”(videomanifestation  with national and international artists and their view on the future after the crises. Accompanied with debates, lectures and performances. Organisation together with Harm van der Wal), 2009.

Initiator en programmeur voor het Kunstenlab, Deventer.
Het accent ligt hier op het experiment in de ruimte of het samenbrengen en reageren op elkaar of op de ruimte. De kunstenaars variëren van regionaal tot internationaal, van beginnend tot gerenommeerd en bekend in de kunstwereld.
